Code2College students attended a Saturday skills workshop at RetailMeNot located on Congress Ave. Matt Stephenson lead the session of more than 100 attendees.
The workshop introduced students to elevator pitches, which involves brief introductions of ones self to spark interest with potential employers. RetailMeNot employees also participated by answering questions and providing feedback to student pitches.
Skills workshops are held once a month at various businesses in Austin. The goal is to expose students to various partners in the STEM industry and increase knowledge in those fields. Attendees will gain self promoting job seeking skills as well as experience with various coding languages.
We extend a huge THANK YOU to Matt and his Code2College team for making these opportunities available to our students! Together, we can make a difference!
